Emotional Wellness Counselor, Private Practice Therapist, & Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I'm a private practice therapist that makes house calls instead of making you awkwardly wait in a stuffy office.

I also offer Walk and Talk therapy where you can be surrounded by the beauty of nature instead of just life’s problems.

Wherever you’re most comfortable, I’ll meet you there.

Therapy On Your Turf

I offer convenient services in your own home or just about anywhere else you’d like. No stuffy offices or awkward clinical settings. I come to you on your own terms, wherever you feel most comfortable: your living room, a coffee shop, a local park. How about a walk and talk therapy session, instead of lying down on a couch? Sure thing. Coffee and counseling? I can do that too.

Video Therapy

We're all extra anxious these days, and social distancing means traditional therapy isn't always an option. That's why I'm available for video sessions and teletherapy, all from the comfort and safety of your own home. We’ll keep our communications secure while keeping ourselves safe and healthy.

Building Skills & Resiliency

I focus on building resiliency and developing coping skills, so you can make progress, rather than just letting your problems fester.

Real, tangible skills deliver real, tangible results.

I emphasize strengths to help develop resiliency, so you're better able to bounce back from challenges with a stronger sense of self-confidence and coping capacity.

Kids & Families

I work with kids, adolescents, and families of all types. Sometimes a kid needs their own space to work out some issues. Sometimes parents need some help figuring out how to successfully work with their own kid. And sometimes the whole family needs to come together to find a new way forward. We'll collaborate and find a system that works best for you.

An Approachable Approach

I use an effective combination of cognitive behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices to help kids and families develop lifelong coping skills.

That means we explore how our thoughts, feelings, and behavior are all connected, so you can make meaningful change, all while learning concrete ways to better manage your emotions.

My approach lends itself well to tackling tough issues, such as anxiety and depression, and turning struggle into success.

Queer Folks Welcome

I am a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community and feel it is my duty to offer a safe and welcoming space for all of my clients. I have a long history of welcoming and working with the LGBTQ+ community, particularly youth, including transgender and gender nonconforming kids.

Gender and sexuality are tough subjects for parents to address and for kids to navigate through, regardless of anyone's personal orientation or identity. That's why I work to support everyone on their own journey.

Contact

Contacting me is primarily to arrange an initial consultation, not for emergency services. If you are in an emergency, please call 9-1-1 or 1-800-273-8255 for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Cost & Insurance

I offer my services on a sliding scale. My standard fee is $200 per 50-minute session, but the cost can come down depending on your needs.

I am not contracted with any insurance companies, but I can provide you with a monthly invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Depending on your plan coverage, this could reduce your out-of-pocket expenses significantly. Please contact your insurance company to find out what level of reimbursement you are eligible for by asking about working with an out-of-network provider for mental health care.
